The shape is quite good for puerh too if you like puerh.

My eyes are not that sharp :-p It's a familiar name so the vague shape of the characters reminded me of the name. Sometimes it's easier to see it on an enlarged photo than on the teapot itself :-DGingkohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00717840609096741544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-516171423954184083.post-43534017693367123132014-01-20T13:46:09.615-05:002014-01-20T13:46:09.615-05:00Wow, your eyes are so sharp, Gingko! I tried tieguanyin with mine, but it wasn't entirely satisfying probably because there's no space for the leaves to expand.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-516171423954184083.post-23102010728187243622014-01-17T21:58:47.174-05:002014-01-17T21:58:47.174-05:00Yes! I will see if my newly coming teapots are made by him as well :-DGingkohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00717840609096741544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-516171423954184083.post-73748852871282397662014-01-05T04:07:41.268-05:002014-01-05T04:07:41.268-05:00You are most welcome!

Those that I've bought and haven't arrived yet are black clay xi shi, and are supposed to be very similar to yours. I also notice there is a stamp at the bottom of the handle on your teapot. Is it something like 禪 (zen)? I forgot to mention it in the previous writing. I found it interesting that it's this character while usually at this position it would be a stamp of the author's name.
Thank you for sharing the photos!Gingkohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00717840609096741544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-516171423954184083.post-664581665953106512014-01-04T15:49:06.448-05:002014-01-04T15:49:06.448-05:00http://s761.photobucket.com/user/The__Addict/libra...http://s761.photobucket.com/user/The__Addict/library/FACYGZT%20Teapot?sort=3&page=1

Oops, forgot to include the link.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-516171423954184083.post-33849097025798453242014-01-04T15:48:22.944-05:002014-01-04T15:48:22.944-05:00Here are some not-very-well-taken photos. I'm getting a couple of xi shi teapots that were from the 2nd festival of this series (1990) and has FACYGZT at the bottom. I was very much puzzled about this acronym too. My current teapot has FAGYGT and initially I thought it was the symbol of the company that ordered them. But now I don't know if there is some relation between these two acronyms. I have a teapot with a similar seal and have been wondering what on earth that strange symbol and the English letters are doing on an Yixing teapot seal.

Any idea what the letters stand for?
